News of the Week
- Tuesday, January 31st 9:00am - 11:00am Touring Tuesday and Open House Parents are invited to visit the classrooms and observe teaching and learning.
- Tuesday, January 31st children are to be in full school uniform. There will be a professional photographer taking pictures of the children in the classrooms for our school website.
- Friday, February 3, 2017 Early Dismissal 12 noon. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 3:00pm - 8:00pm.
- This Week Children will be Learning the Following:
Religion: Children will learn about God's gift of feelings.
Reading: Children will identify story characters and story details from the story, "The Nightingale." Children will also compare and contrast two versions of "The Nightingale."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase "Oo."
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sound /o/. Children will blend sounds together.
Math: Children will identify and write the number 8. Children will compose and decompose the number 8.
Science Lab: Children will participate in a "Traveling Water" experiment.
Social Studies: Children will learn about different holidays. Children will learn about the life of St. Valentine.
