Week of 10/19/15 - 10/23/15

News of the Week
- We will have a Parent Meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 21st. at 8:30am in the Parent Conference Room located across the school office.  It will be a 20 minute meeting to discuss a few classroom matters such as our class curriculum.  Many parents have informed me that they are unable to attend because of work obligations.  It is not a mandatory meeting, if you are unable to attend I will send home with your child the handouts I will be distributing at the meeting.

- Progress Reports will be sent home Thursday, Oct. 22nd.

- Individual Picture Day will be Friday, Oct. 23rd.  Please remember to bring Picture Money Envelope to Mrs. Resto in the Tuition Office.  Children are allowed to wear their dress up clothes or their full uniform for the pictures.

- This week we will continue our "All About Me" unit for Module 1 and focus on our Five Senses. You can help your child by taking pictures or using old photos of themselves and discuss how they were using their 5 senses at that time.
- Children will continue to learn about counting groups of objects 1 -5.  This week they will focus on counting groups of 5 objects in circular formation. Encourage your child at home to count in circular form and remember to have them place a mark where they start counting.
- Some children are beginning to show improvement with writing their names, continue to practice.
- Children should also continue to practice writing all the letters we have been working on. Have the children use play dough or tracing lines to form letters.
-  All children did a wonderful job last week writing letters and drawing beginning sound pictures in their notebooks.  Continue to review identifying beginning sounds in words by providing the word, using pictures or objects.
