Week of 10/12/15 - 10/16/15

News of the Week
- All students will participate in presentations for Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday October 14th.  Students in all the PreK classes will sing a song that they have learned during Hispanic Heritage Month beginning at 9:00am.  Following the PreK presentations students will be serving food. All parents are welcome to join us in celebrating the culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month.

- We will have a Parent-Teacher Meeting on Oct. 21st at 8:30am. 

- Remember to check this blog after 3pm everyday for daily homework assignments.

Family Home Link 
- This week we will continue our "All About Me" unit for Module 1 and focus on our Five Senses.  Children will also be using their five senses to explore and learn about Pumpkins.
- Children will be introduced to the numbers 4 and 5. Encourage children to touch and count groups of objects 1- 5.
- Children should continue to work on drawing themselves from head to toe and naming body parts.
- Practice identifying and writing their names.
- Children should also continue to practice writing all the letters we have been working on. Have the children use play dough or tracing lines to form letters.  This week we will begin to use our notebooks for writing uppercase and lowercase letters.  Also, drawing pictures of objects with beginning sounds /m/, /t/, /r/, /s/.
