Reminders:
- The dolch words that were stapled to the old homework notebooks need to be stapled into their new homework notebooks. Please make sure these words are reviewed daily. If you need a new copy of the words please let me know.
- Children should be reading daily 15 - 20 minutes.
- I encourage the children to do free creative writing at home. Pick anything to write about, a favorite pet, a special day, a friend etc.... Encourage the children to write neatly, use uppercase letters at the beginning of a sentence and use end marks appropriately.
- Also, we are finishing up on "Money" and will be going into "Time." Review "counting on" with coins for a few minutes everyday. Going supermarket shopping can be a wonderful lesson review on money.

5. church - all the people who believe in Jesus and follow his teachings.
6. hour hand - is short and tells the hour on a clock.
7. minute hand - is long and tells the minutes on a clock.
8. skyscraper - tall building
9. similar - almost the same.
10. prefers - you like it better than other things.
