News of the Week .
- Friday, Feb. 10rth Early Dismissal for all students12 Noon - Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please remember there will be NO AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM.
- February 10th we will have Parent/Teacher Conferences, 1:00pm - 3:00pm In-Person Conferences or 3:00pm- 6:00pm Zoom Conferences. Please email me with a convenient time and I will confirm with you.
- Tuesday, February 14th we will have a Valentine's Day Show at 8:30am in the Auditorium for all parents. We will also have a class party for Valentine's Day if you can please send in $5. for pizza, juice and other treats I will greatly appreciate it.
- Please remember to return your child's sleeping mat back to school tomorrow.
- Parents of my four year old group please review sight words and letter sounds everyday with your child.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about God's gift of people and feelings.
Reading:: Children will listen and respond to the story "The Nightingale."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Kk and Ll.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /k/ and /l/. Children will identify rhyming words.
Math: Children will begin learning about measuring.
Science: Children will experiment with ice and learn about melting ice. Children will also learn about the formation of crystals.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight word "is."
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, I, in.
