News of the Week 
- Tomorrow Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting

- Wednesday, January 15th "Hat Day."  There will be a contest for all Pre-K and Kindergarten classes for the most creative student made hat. 

- Kindergarten registration is open! Scholarships Available!  Please see Ms. Alba if you have any questions.

This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion - Children will learn about God's gift of animals and their habitat.  Children will listen and respond to the Bible story "Noah's Ark."
Reading -  Children will listen and respond to different rhymes, jingles and poems. 
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Jj.
Phonemic Awareness -  Children will identify beginning sound /j/.  Children will identify rhyming words.  
Sight Words - Children will learn to identify and read the sight words "funny" and "go."
Math -  Children will identify number 8. Children will count objects to 8. Children will decompose and compose number 8. 
Science - Children will learn about different forms of weather.  Children will create snow.
Social Studies - Children will learn about the life Martin Luther King Jr.
