News of the Week
- Tomorrow, Monday, April 8th Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting.
- Wednesday, April 10th at 9am we will be celebrating "The Week of the Young Child" and all parents are invited to join their child as they will be exploring with different types of science experiments in the auditorium with the assistance of the 7th grade students. The children will love having Mommy or Daddy exploring and experimenting with them.
- Thursday, April 11th we will have the Easter Party for the children. We will have pizza and Easter treats. Do not send lunch or snack, the children will have more than enough snacks throughout the day. Children are allowed to wear their dress up clothes.
- Friday, April 12th Early Dismissal 12 Noon. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 2pm - 6pm.
- Easter Recess begins at dismissal on April 12th and we will return to school on Monday, April 29th. Please remember to continue reviewing with your child during the Easter Break. All my 4yr. old students must know all their sight words and letter sounds. All my 3yr. olds continue working on identifying uppercase and lowercase letters, letter sounds, and counting one to one.

- Religion: Children will learn about the celebration of Easter.
- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sound /t/.
- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Tt.
- Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story, "Anansi and the Talking Melon."
- Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story, "Anansi and the Talking Melon."
- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the word "play."
- Math: Children will be assessed on measuring length, weight and volume.
- Science: Children will observe how vinegar changes the egg dying process.
- Social Studies: Children will learn about plant habitats.
