Week of 2/4/19 - 2/8/19

News of the Week 

- Tomorrow, Feb. 4th Feast of St. Blaise Prayer Service at 2:00pm at the Church, throats will be blessed during the service.  Parents welcome. 

- Friday, February 8th we will be celebrating National Pizza Day at our school.  

This Week Children will be learning the following:

- Religion: Children will understand that God wants us to be obedient to our parents and adults in position of authority. 

- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sounds /n/. 

- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Nn.
- Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story, "The Nightingale."

- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the word "help."

- Math: Children will compose and decompose 8.
- Science: Children will learn that when salt is mixed with ice it lowers the freezing point and the ice will melt. 
- Social Studies: Children will learn the role of community helpers.

Sight Words for Review for the 4 year old Group:
