News of the Week
- Wednesday, January 17, 2018 Parent Workshop entitled "Who's the Boss" at 8:30am in the library.
- Religion: Children will continue learning about the gift of God's animals. Children will listen and respond to the Bible story, "Noah's Ark."
- Science: Children will learn that when salt is mixed with ice it lowers the freezing point and the ice will melt. Children will experiment with ice cubes, thread and salt to show how the salt melts the ice.
- Phonemic Awareness: Children will learn to identify beginning and ending sound /s/. Children will blend sounds together.
- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Ss.
- Reading Comprehension: Children will listen and respond to the story, "Four Seasons for Sports," by Valerie Tripp. Children will identify story elements. Children will identify problem and solution in a story.
- Math: Children will understand addition as the joining of two groups.
