News of the Week
- In honor of Mother's Day we will have a special Mother's Day Assembly and Breakfast for all Pre-K and Kindergarten Moms in the cafeteria on Friday, May 12th at 8:30am. All Mommies come join us for "Muffins with Moms."
This Week Children will be Learning the Following:
Religion: Children will learn about their experiences at Mass.
Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story "Peter and the Wolf."
Phonics: Children will continue working on identifying uppercase and lowercase "Yy." Children will identify and read the sight word "up" and the color word "white."
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /y/. Children will build -at family words.
Math: Children will identify numbers and number words 18, 19, and 20. Children will count groups of objects up to 20.
Science: Children will experiment in the Science Lab and use flowers to show how water travels through plants. Children will also create a walking rainbow.
Social Studies: Children will learn about the butterfly life cycle.
