- Tuesday, February 23, 2016 it will be Hippie Day and SuperKids Day at our school. Students can come dressed as a Hippie or one of the story characters from our Rowland Reading Program. You may choose a character from the following stories: Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Bears, La Tortuga (The Turtle), The Elves and the Shoemaker, Hey Diddle Diddle, Hickory Dickory Dock, Mary Had a Little Lamb, The Nightingale, The City Mouse and The Country Mouse.

- This week we will continue to listen and respond to the story "The Country and City Mouse." Children will also listen and respond to stories about community workers. Continue reading stories to your child and have them retell the story in sequence order, identify characters and story setting. Also, guide them in identifying what is the problem and solution in the story.
- This week for Math children will be learning about composing and decomposing 9 and showing 10 as 9 and 1 more. Children will also continue to write addition equations.
- Identify the following Uppercase and Lowercase Letters: Mm, Tt, Rr, Ss, Cc, Pp, Aa, Nn, Dd, Ll, Gg, Ii, Bb, Oo, Ee, Jj Ff, Xx, Hh and Qq.
- Identify and Read Sight Words: I, my, the, and, see, in, a, can, go, to, little, big, jump, for, find, make, away, help, look
- Identify Color Words: red, blue, yellow, purple, green, black, brown
